You can know if the Let's Encrypt SSL certificate is not working properly when you visit your website the address bar in your browser shows http: // and not https: //, or if the lock icon in the browser's address bar appears blocked. Let's Encrypt will not notify you if the certificate is not installed properly on your website, so it is recommended that customers check their websites monthly to ensure the proper functioning of SSL.
1. DNS Configuration:
It is possible that your domain name is not resolving to the Baehost servers. If you purchased a domain name from another provider, please make sure that the DNS settings match our name servers, which were included in your welcome email from Baehost.
2. Apache or software configurations incorrectly configured:
In some cases, if you changed the settings of your software, or Apache, that may prevent the Let's Encrypt SSL certificate from being installed properly. If you edited or manipulated security settings, redirects or .htaccess files, your updates could be causing SSL installation failure.
3. The SSL certificate already exists and is already working:
If you already have a valid SSL certificate installed from another provider, Baehost will not attempt to install a Let's Encrypt certificate in your account.
