Starting in February/March 2026, according to CA/Browser Forum proposal SC081v3, the validity of certificates will be a maximum of 199 days. This means that the certificate must be reissued since coverage is annual. This does not mean you will have to purchase two SSL certificates; you will simply need to reissue (which is free) and reinstall your SSL certificate.

The CA/Browser Forum also approved that the validity period will be 99 days starting in March 2027 and 46 days starting in March 2029.

 

For certificates acquired after March 2026, you can renew/reissue them from the customer area.
