From the Customer Area, accessing Services and then the Cloud Server, you can perform the following actions and get information:
Access the console. You can see the server monitor through web access. This access does not use the server's network and is very useful in case of losing the connection to the server (for example, if you establish a firewall that blocks your own access).
Turn the server on and off.
Restart the server by software (by pressing the CRTL + ALT + DEL keys) or by force.
Obtain the assigned IP address.
Know the status of the Cloud server.
Observe the assigned resources (CPU, memory and storage).
Monitor the current use of resources (CPU, Memory, Disk IO and network).
Know the historical use of resources (CPU, Memory, IO disk and network).
VMware HA provides high availability to virtual machines and hosts by actively pooling and monitoring both. In case of host failure, VMware HA migrates virtual machines to hosts with capacity. When new virtual machines are added to a VMware HA cluster, VMware HA checks if sufficient capacity is available to power the virtual machine on a different host in case of host failure.
VMware DRS provides real-time balancing of cluster resources. It monitors the distribution and use of CPU and memory resources for all hosts and virtual machines in the cluster. DRS compares these metrics with an optimal utilization of resources given the cluster resource and virtual machine attribute attributes, current demand and target unbalance, and migrates virtual machines to maintain balance. When you first power up a virtual machine in the cluster, DRS maintains a proper load balancing by placing the virtual machine on a suitable host.

Premium support agreement with VMware. | Without support or community support. |
VMware ensure that each virtual machine to be executed in a totally isolated environment and resources allocated so guaranteed, without sharing the base or Kernel operating system, which allows you to install multiple operating systems with different characteristics at 64 and in 32 bits. | In a VPS, the only operating system is partitioned into virtual machines, and share resources and Base Operating System Kernel. The number of bits of the virtual machine must be equal to the virtualizer operating system. |
FiberChannel Storage SAN, RAID disks and SSD cache. | Local Storage. |
Resource consumption of a virtual machine does not affect the others. | The saturation of a virtual machine affects the others. |
Redundant and highly available cluster. If a virtualization node stops working, or the VM stop responding, it will be restarted on another node available (VMware HA) to continue the service. If the node or enter into maintenance mode were to be close to the threshold of its load, VMs are automatically moved to free nodes to balance the use of cluster (VMware DRS). | The VPS are executed within one machine, without redundancy. Manual load distribution is required. To move the VM from a node to another, you should restart it. |
